Teen Vogue Review

A few days ago I was at the train station and bought Teen Vogue.
I know, I don't live in America but WHSmiths sells imported magazines.
I was wondering what to expect, as I was majorly disappointed with American Vogue.

The first bad point I noticed was designer adverts.
Why there is designer adverts in a teenage magazine, I do not know.
This encourages girls to go beg for expensive clothing when there's a credit crunch going on!

Next bad point, the models are too skinny.
Girls want to look like the people they see in magazines so why get sticks to pose and pout?
Looking like a stick is not a good look, and isn't healthy either.
In a way, it encourages anorexia by drumming it into teen's heads that they HAVE to look like that to achieve in life.
Well, my friends, women are meant to have curves!
I think magazines should get real girls in there magazines, girls who are curvy!

The only good points is the article on how to stand up to bullies.
It's a really useful piece of information to have, and worth a read.

Other than that, don't buy this magazine - it's a waste.
